COURSE DESCRIPTION
A .Catalog Description: Historical, theoretical, and philosophical foundations of distance education; an overview of distance education technologies; an exploration of the literature of the field, and an examination of effective techniques for teaching and learning within a distance education system.
B. Course Rationale: Because students learn about the field of distance education while learning how to be effective distance educators and distance learners, the course is foundational for the ITDE concentration as well as for graduate study at a distance.
