Welcome to the Web 2.0 and Quality Plus Teaching Strategies Lesson
Lesson overview
Web 2.0 tools are prevalent in all levels of education and useful from the earliest of learners to the most veteran of teachers. These tools have allowed distance education to become much more interactive between instructors and students in a more timely fashion. In this lesson the students, who are also teachers, will learn what Web 2.0 tools are and how to use various rubrics to evaluate them for their various uses. The Quality Plus Teaching Strategies (QPTS) resource guide will be introduced to the students with an explanation of the various categories and how to make use of this resource. After this mini-lesson, the teachers will then be given time to explore the website independently or with teammates to find and evaluate at least three resources they could use with their students.
